Humid Air Overspreading the Region; Heavy Thunderstorms Developing to Our West

This morning temperatures are very warm with most places currently in the lower 70's.  In Antwerp, the current temperature is 73, while Fort Wayne is currently at 72.  Not only is it very warm, but it is becoming much more humid over the next several hours.  Dew points at Antwerp, are in the lower 60's and in most other parts of Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana, while areas in Western Indiana and Eastern Illinois have dew points in the 70's.  Because of the high dew points in western Indiana, large and dangerous thunderstorms have formed over Lake Michigan and have been producing flash flooding over adjacent counties as the storms move southward.  These storms pose no threat to our area, mainly because they are riding the edge of the ridge in the plains southward.
If temperatures rise quickly, then highs could hit the lower 90's or even mid 90's with much higher heat indices.  This would most likely happen in far eastern Indiana and Northwest Ohio, because these areas have no cloud cover.  This afternoon, an isolated heavy thunderstorm or two can not be ruled as the upper level ridge shifts eastward and flattens.  Lows tonight will drop into the lower 70's, bringing highs with it tomorrow in the middle 90's and heat indices over one hundred degrees.  After a cold front moves through Sunday, temperatures will drop into the upper 80's, while dew points drop to the mid 60's.
