Very Warm This Afternoon... Changes to Heat Wave forecast

Temperatures have warmed several degrees since my last post.  Area wide, temperatures are in the lower to middle 80's, with temperatures at Antwerp being the highest at 84 degrees.  At Fort Wayne and Defiance temperatures are still in the lower 80's

Temperatures again tonight will drop into the lower 60's and possibly middle 60's if we get enough cloud cover, but that isn't likely.  Tomorrow, temperatures will be a bit warmer than today, mainly because meteorologists are expecting the winds to veer from the northwest today and tonight to the southwest tomorrow.  Highs in the mid-80's will prevail tomorrow, with tomorrow night's lows dropping only down to the middle to upper 60's with a humid air mass moving in overnight.  For the weather on Friday, the National Weather Service was discussing the possibility of thunderstorms Friday morning, which would greatly reduce Friday's highs into the upper 80's and lower 90's instead of the mid-90's.  But from my instincts, I don't think that any storms will hit us on Friday, keeping Friday's highs in the mid-90's.  If any storms do form, they will most likely hit far northern sections of the CWA in Northern Indiana.  Temperatures on Saturday are still on schedule to hit the lower to middle 90's with extremely humid air keeping heat indices at or above 100 degrees.
