Once again.. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but they will be much more frequent as we progress over the next few weeks.
In other news, I'll start with the current weather analysis. Over the past few hours, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms have popped up over the area. Some of these have produced heavy rainfall and gusty winds over isolated area. This is currently happening in a moderately unstable air mass across the area, in the wake of the cold front passage. As drier and cooler air moves in later this afternoon and tonight in the vicinity of a cooler Canadian high, instability will decrease allowing for much clearer conditions for tomorrow.
In the upcoming pattern, the vast majority of medium and long-range guidance continue to indicate a cooler, and possibly wetter pattern to continue, as an H5 trough descends into the Eastern United States [an H5 trough is a 500 millibar trough], possibly bringing a more unstable pattern in regards to storm systems. This pattern will likely continue through most of the early Fall season as well.
More updates will come later tonight and tomorrow. Have a good evening.
