I would like to note a few things in this brief discussion.
One.) The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of the area, including all of Northwest Ohio, and a few counties in Northeast Indiana. They are expecting a general 5-9 inches across the area, especially along the Route 24 corridor, and south, while areas south of a line from Hartford to Ottawa line will receive more in the range of 8-10 inches. Expect very heavy snow for several hours on Wednesday, along with strong winds which could lead to blizzard and whiteout conditions at times. Snow will accumulate rapidly, and because temperatures will be close to freezing, snow will melt and refreeze to roads, making them extremely slick.
Two.) The latest 09z RAP forecast (very short range model, impressive mesoscale model as well) is forecasting a farther west track of the surface wave, which could have huge implications on snowfall amounts in the area. I'll have another update late tonight or tomorrow morning.
