Impending Storm Still On the Table

The latest information has come out from the 06z GFS model which indicates that a potential snowfall is possible for the area next week. At the current time, the models disagree widely on the track of the storm. In the more northerly track,
the Euro has the storm system's center moving through the region and northeast into Detroit, which would bring us initially rain, but then changing over to snow. In the southerly camp, the GFS has the storm system's center tracking through Southern Ohio (it has trended northward by quite a bit and is coming into agreement with the Euro), bringing our area initially periods of a wintry mix next Monday night and Tuesday, then causing wintry mix to change over to a moderate or at times *heavy* snowfall. That is the 06z GFS for us.

At this time, I'm not going with any model solution, and given what happened last year, I'm EXTREMELY skeptical of a snowstorm hitting the region next week. BUT, the possibility still remains that that a winter weather event remains on the table for the area.

Here is the 06z GFS snowfall forecast for next Monday and Tuesday. It is forecasting the potential of 6-12 inches of snow from Monday night through Wednesday!

DISCLAIMER: AGAIN, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN. IT IS JUST ONE OF THE MANY POSSIBILITIES.
