Today, its looking like we may see some severe weather from the cold front moving through. According to computer models, there may be enough instability and shear to cause a line of severe thunderstorms. These thunderstorms will not only be capable of producing damaging winds but also some hail too. There also may be enough shear to cause some thunderstorms to produce isolated tornadoes, especially in Northwest Ohio. After this line of potentially damaging thunderstorms moves through in the late afternoon hours.
According to computer models, it could get very windy around here tonight and tomorrow, with wind gusts in the 35 to 45 mph range. Sustained winds will likely be around 25 to 30 mph, especially in the overnight hours. This 992 millibar low over central Michigan will begin to lift Friday into Canada, leaving nice, chilly conditions for Saturday, along with light winds and clear skies. This could lead to us to frost both Friday and Saturday Night.
